We wish to offer floating in Innlandet

∼ in Brumunddal, Ringsaker ∼

...where everyone - from near and far - can enjoy the quiet, calm and flow that can accompany lying in a flotation tank (sensory deprivation tank)

This dream has been set somewhat in motion, and when the framework is set - and we feel enough momentum to advance the process - this page will be updated; and everyone who has registered/filled out the form further down on this page will receive an update as soon as we start offering floating

Are you curious about our future floating offer?

When we open the doors at Floatin you will receive a welcome offer from us. All we ask for is your help with the questions in the form below, so that we can reach more aligned people when the time comes for spreading the word ∼ and for sharing anonymised information that can contribute towards awareness of the benefits of floating

What are your wishes and experiences with floating?

What is floating?

If you don't have any knowledge about or experience with floating, you are welcome to read our short description below ∼ though to dive deeper into how floating came about, and learn about benefits with floating, it can be helpful to view eg the Float Nation documentary that we've included further down; or search for other sources you feel pulled towards (until we have the real deal ready for you)

Floating entails  floating in salt water that has a higher salt concentration than the Dead Sea, in total darkness and quiet (or perhaps with sound through speakers, when we've set it up)

The salt water carries the body's weight and alleviates physical ailments derived from pressure and strains
The body is allowed to relax completely whilst lying in the flotation tank, and the mind is invited to calm down - creating space for creativity, clarity, awareness and insights
The water's temperature matches the body's temperature, gradually dissipating the experience of a separation between water and body - leading to a sense of  unity with the surroundings
There is usually a shower in the same room as the tank: you shower before lying down in the tank, and shower off the salt when a signal alerts you that the session is over (eg soft music or light)
Floating is referred to mostly as a wellness offer, though also as a  preventative and ameliorating approach for numerous health ailments: eg stress-induced complaints, sleep issues, pain and anxiety
Floating can be enjoyed in conjunction with other health-promoting approaches
